Need a plastic part with tight tolerances and a clean cut edge? Do you need it fast? No worries! The laser’s heat affected zone (HAZ) is very small, which is one of the reasons why lasers are excellent for cutting softer materials like plastics. No burning occurs with other materials, like metals or plastics. As a side benefit, in fact, when cutting plastics or composites (like Kevlar) the laser will often seal, or cauterize*, the edge and eliminate a secondary processing step often required to do so. We’ll laser cut plastics (up to a maximum thickness of three-sixteenths to one-quarter inch), Lexan, polycarbonate, HDPE, LDPE, ethylene, Delrin, fiberglass, polyester, rigid foam, and foam core quickly and accurately, each and every time. We also specialize in acrylic laser cutting.
We're located just north of Boston, Massachusetts in Devens, MA, and proudly service the entire US with many laser cutting, machining and secondary processing services. All of our materials are stocked in-house for optimal convenience.
